Great Canadian Diwali Mithai Mela 2025 – Lucky Draw Terms & Conditions

Applicable Locations: Trinity Common Mall, Brampton, ON & Taj Park Convention Centre, Surrey, BC
Organizer: The Great Canadian Diwali Mithai Mela Committee (“Organizers”)

1. Eligibility

  • Entry is open to individuals 18 years of age or older.

  • Each participant must purchase a minimum of one (1) pound of Mithai (Indian sweets) during the Diwali Mela between October 9 and October 21, 2025 to qualify.

  • Each qualifying purchase equals one (1) valid entry. Multiple qualifying purchases increase chances of winning.

  • Entry is open to Canadian residents only.

2. Prizes

Grand Prize:

  • One (1) Car (Three-Year Lease).

    • The winner must qualify for credit approval through the participating financial institution.

    • The winner is responsible for insurance, license plates, registration, maintenance, and fuel costs.

    • No cash alternative or buyout option is available.

Second Prize:

  • One (1) Return Flight to India, valid for 2026 travel.

Third Prize:

  • One (1) Mexico 4-Star Trip Package (for Two), valid for 2026, sponsored by Mann International Tours & Travels.

Fourth Prize:

  • One (1) Year of Free Pizza, sponsored by Mr. Singh’s Pizza.

    • Includes one (1) medium pizza with up to three (3) toppings per week for fifty-two (52) weeks.

    • Pickup only, by the winner with valid ID at 2120 N Park Dr, Unit #25, Brampton, ON.

    • No substitutions, cash alternatives, or transfers permitted.

Fifth Prize: 

  • 1-year car installment plan available through Sardar Motors.
    • Eligible buyers can finance up to $40,000, subject to credit approval.
    • The loan must be approved under the individual applicant’s name to qualify for this offer.
    • Offer available only to customers who meet loan eligibility and approval criteria as determined by Sardar Motors or its financing partners.

Additional Prizes:

  • Gold and Diamond Rings — sponsored by Chawla Jewellers and Ekam Jewellers.

  • 65” Branded Television — sponsored by Elite Appliances.

  • Cash Giveaways — including $100 and $50 denominations.

  • Gift Cards — $100 from Mr. Singh’s Pizza and $25 from Chalo FreshCo.

As per the vendor’s availability, winners will have the right to pick the date and time for prize collection or redemption in coordination with the respective sponsor.

3. Draw Details

  • The Lucky Draw may be conducted either electronically (computerized) or through a physical draw, entirely at the discretion of the Organizers.

  • Winners will be selected randomly under supervision and announced publicly or via phone/email.

  • The Organizers’ decision shall be final and binding in all respects.

4. Prize Collection & Verification

  • The original ticket or customer portion issued at the time of purchase is required to collect the award.

    • No duplicates, photocopies, or digital versions will be accepted.

    • Lost or damaged tickets will result in automatic disqualification.

  • Winners must present valid government-issued ID and may be asked to sign a prize acceptance and liability release form.

  • Prizes must be claimed within 15 days of notification. Unclaimed prizes may be forfeited and re-awarded at the Organizers’ discretion.

5. Product Responsibility

  • All product- or service-related issues (e.g., warranty, performance, quality, or delivery concerns) are the sole responsibility of the respective sponsor or manufacturer.

  • The Mela organizers are not liable for the condition, delivery, functionality, or after-sales service of any sponsored prize.

6. General Conditions

  • All prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.

  • The Organizers reserve the right to verify eligibility, disqualify entries, or cancel/modify the contest at any time without notice.

  • Participation in the draw implies acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and all decisions made by the Organizers.

7. Publicity Consent

By entering, participants agree that the Organizers and sponsors may use their name, photo, video, and likeness for publicity, advertising, and marketing purposes without additional consent or compensation.

8. Liability Waiver

  • The Organizers, sponsors, and partners assume no responsibility for any loss, injury, damage, or claim arising from participation or use of any prize.

  • All prizes are provided “as is,” with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied.

9. Governing Law

  • This contest is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Brampton, Ontario.

  • The contest is void where prohibited by law.

10. Acceptance of Terms

Participation in the Diwali Mela Lucky Draw constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, which are subject to change without notice at the Organizers’ discretion.
